The protection and transformation of urban industrial heritage is the important activity adapting to the requirements of stock-based planning.Under the background of contemporary sustainable development,the replacement and reuse of industrial land and heritages are becoming one of the subjects on urban renewal. Based on the formation context and development of industrial areas,it grasps transformation characteristics of industrial heritage areas through historical demonstration and practical analysis,in the spatial dimension of Shanghai,showing that the industrial heritages before transformation appear in enclosed plant areas led by traditional manufacture and contaminated and discarded industrial brownfield.It puts forward transformation routes of industrial heritage including industry convergence and associated regeneration in economy,heterogeneous isomorphism and reorganization in space,connotation extension and grade promotion in culture,and intensive coordination in green and low-carbon development in ecology.Then link relations are built up between routes,forming regeneration mechanism based on economic transformation and cooperation of spatial,cultural and ecological transformation.It provides guidance for scientific transformation of industrial heritages,promoting the transition to coordinated and sustainable post-industrial zones.
